Most of the leaves are gone, allowing us to see more sunlight filtering through the trees. It also means we can see how low in the sky the sun is in mid-afternoon!
By now, some animals have migrated to warmer, sunnier places. Others have burrowed into the mud or found a cozy hole in a tree for napping away the winter.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I say let's stuff ourselves with turkey and pie, grab a good book, and find a cozy place to hibernate for the next month or so. Who's with me?
